Gov'Mint Cheese began as a place to celebrate both the written sentence and the camera frame. We publish them side by side, at a reader's pace.

We are editorially independent and reader-supported, which means we answer to the work and to the people who read it. Every piece is chosen for what it notices, not for how loudly it arrives.

We treat writing and image-making as equals. An essay can sit beside a photograph, and a short story can share a page with a still life. Both ways of looking belong in the same publication.

Writers and photographers are invited to send pitches and correspondence directly. Reader notes are welcome too.
